Celebratory bubble tea

Happy last day of April and National Bubble Tea Day! Welcome to this month’s keeping time, my round-up of what I’ve read, watched, ate, listened to, bought, and found inspiration from in the month. There’s also one timely rec from a special guest!

What a month this was! Not only did I turn in edits for my third novel (and celebrate with Yin Yang Tea, a boba shop name that’s incredibly relevant to the title of my book), but I got to be in convo with Sarah Adams and Abby Jimenez, and I finally met Suzanne Park. I always feel very lucky to be invited to book clubs in person, and this month I got to go to Saint Goose and spend time with wonderful people and have great conversations about not just Red String Theory, but also about life. At the end of the month, I was back at Parnassus for Independent Bookstore Day with my friends Jenna Levine and Sarah Adams.

May is loaded with even more events, which you can find listed out in this post, or on my website. I’ll be sharing events and book updates on Instagram as they happen.

For now, let’s get to this month’s round-up, which includes:

  • A charming book that made me laugh out loud a LOT (like, so much)

  • Two movies that will give you all the nostalgic feels

  • A super satisfying and comforting breakfast-for-dinner recipe

  • The item that has elevated my morning beverage game

  • One timely rec from author Mazey Eddings

  • A bunch of fun and interesting links
