Next up, we’re romanticizing writing with Shameez Patel, the author of Playing Flirty, a gaming rivals debut rom-com that came out earlier this year. If you’re into board games, are super competitive, and love rivals to lovers, spreadsheets, and weekly game nights, add this to your TBR!
Now it’s time to get romanticizing! Shameez shares what media shaped her idea of being a writer, her writing advice, and her favorite games to play.

Shameez Patel: I’m Shameez Patel, and I was born and raised in South Africa. After working ultra hard on getting an engineering degree, I realized all I wanted to do was write stories about love (and sometimes monsters).
