romanticizing writing with… is a monthly interview series that offers a sneak peek into the dream scenario and the reality of an author’s writing life. In this column, we’re indulging, challenging, and shedding light on the ways we look at writing through a romantic lens.
Today, we’re romanticizing writing with…me. 😌 I figured this month was as good as any, especially since I have a book coming out at the end of it.
Quick reminder that you can still pre-order Yin Yang Love Song. If you want goodies to come with your book, here are the details! You’ve got about one week (until January 21) to place your orders. And if you’re in Nashville, join us at Parnassus Books for my flower tea party!
Okay, now let’s romanticize…
Can you tell us a little bit about yourself and what you write?
I’m Lauren, a mixed Chinese-American writer-eater-reader-and then some. I’m the author of Lunar Love, Red String Theory, and Yin Yang Love Song. I’m always on the hunt for food to eat and make. I went to culinary school in NYC and worked at Eleven Madison Park. I also blogged about food and movies for a long time. As a film major, I love watching movies and TV shows. (Rom-coms hold a special place in my heart.)
What’s your dream writing day?
