Hi! Today marks six months of Red String Theory being out in the world, so what better way to celebrate than with the RST Playlist?

I’m sharing the full playlist with you, and paid subscribers will be getting annotated pages from a chapter in Red String Theory with a behind-the-scenes look at how one song plays a specific role in one of the scenes. I’ve included handwritten notes in the margins about why I made the decisions that I did. I’ve annotated Lunar Love before, but haven’t given Red String Theory the same treatment. It was fun to dive back into this particular scene, so maybe I’ll do more annotations in the future.

But lets start with the playlist! I’m so excited to be sharing with you the tracks that fueled me during the writing of Red String Theory. I haven’t been meaning to hang onto this for so long, but it somehow just happened that way. I keep playlists for every book I write because I find they help me hone in on a character’s personality or a scene’s vibe or the book’s essence.

I enjoy this playlist for Red String Theory so much that I still find myself listening to it when I’m looking for curated moody vibes. I can still be brought back to the exact moment when I wrote the scene, which is always fun to relive. Always! Even when it was a sad scene or one that was especially tricky or hard to write.

This playlist is organized by the events in the book, so they match up to the mood and feelings as the story progresses. If you’ve read RST already, maybe you’ll also be brought back to those moments. 🥰
