Thank you to all who played along on Instagram when I posted about my title reveal. Your excitement was also so lovely. ☺️ I can’t tell you how entertained I was reading your guesses. We got everything from The Hostile Tofu to The Lovable Crow to The Bondage Type to The Romance Club to The Romance Code, and so many more inspired and impressive guesses. There were also great guesses with “Luck,” “Myth,” and “Wish.”

Several of you guessed individual letters, some of which were right. That got us here:

But now, the time has come to reveal what the remaining letters are. Let’s do it! The title of my fourth rom-com is…

“Flip” was a hard one, huh? I don’t think I would’ve guessed it, either. I wouldn’t say I’m great at these types of games (my Wordle streak was short-lived), but I do love a little mystery and guessing game every now and then. 😆 And you guys are SO GOOD! A lot of you, within the last hour, said “Fortune” and I was like, omg someone’s going to guess it! We got a lot of variations of The Fortune _________. It was hilarious to see what’s on your minds. I hope you had as much fun as I did.

I can’t wait to share more with you about The Fortune Flip! I had a vision with this book when I first concocted it, from the opening scene to how I wanted the story to play out. I’m thrilled with where it landed (or, will land, since I’m on the verge of wrapping developmental edits). As with every book, it, of course, had its own unique set of challenges, but it was pure joy to write from start to finish (even though I’ve never cried more writing a book than I did with this one).

As you can probably tell from the graphics I made, the lottery plays a role in this book. As does New York City. And as you might gather from the title, so do fortune tellers. That’s all I’ll say for now. I can’t wait to share what the book is actually about, as well as the cover, in the coming months.

Okay, wait, I’ll say one more thing! There is a very nuanced, very small (like, one line?) Easter egg in Yin Yang Love Song that references one of the main characters in The Fortune Flip.
