Hi!
I’m Lauren Kung Jessen, a writer and unapologetic romantic. I’m the author of Lunar Love, Red String Theory, and the forthcoming Yin Yang Love Song.
It’s nice to meet you. A few things about me:
I love food. I went to culinary school, worked at Eleven Madison Park, and run a food and film blog, A Dash of Cinema. I’m always dreaming up what to cook or bake.

I live in Nashville. It’s my first time living somewhere without water on either side of me.
I’m a big art fan, especially paintings (particularly Renaissance and Impressionism) and installations. For Red String Theory, I got to live vicariously through my main character and create giant art installations of my own.
I have to be in the right mood to listen to music when I write. Some scenes lend itself to particular songs and can really help get me in the right headspace. When writing Lunar Love, I listened to these songs.
I love the rain. I attribute this to growing up in Seattle. I don’t use umbrellas if I don’t have to.
