Welcome to romanticizing writing with…, an interview series that offers a sneak peek into the dream scenario and the reality of an author’s writing life. In case you missed the last one, check out Peyton Corinne’s interview. Or view the entire romanticizing writing with… archive.

Today, we’re romanticizing with Julie Tieu, author of The Donut Trap, Circling Back to You, Fancy Meeting You Here, and The Girl Most Likely To, which is out now!

I always look forward to a Julie Tieu release—her books make me so happy! Her latest, The Girl Most Likely To, is about Rachel Dang, who was voted “Most Likely to Succeed” in high school and is now funemployed, and Danny Phan, who’s thriving in his career, reuniting at their twentieth high school reunion. Over the course of the night, they run into childhood friends and have misadventures together, and the feelings they once shared come rushing back. Having never been to a high school reunion, I’m so intrigued to live vicariously through these characters.

Now let’s get romanticizing with Julie!
